A class

Here's a pic of my last class for 2005.

It is a Heidi Swapp Frame class. Very cool! You get enough supplies to complete, one or two singles or a double layout. You can change the base colour cardstock to match your photos, there are several sizes of frames in the kit, so you can pop more than one photo on the layout.

Shopping!

I had a fun afternoon shopping for new supplies for the December kits today. Lots of amazing ribbons.

I also grabbed supplies for a Make and Take that I will be doing at Scrap The Lot's Christmas party on the 8th December. Very bright, very cute, very practical, but all credit must go to a friend in Adelaide, KarenL. She sent me a gorgeous little gift for my birthday back in May and now I'm using the idea. So huge thanks Karen!

All was revealed at Lime Tart tonight on who the guest designers will be for December. Congratulations girls, I look forward to sending you some gorgeous kits and seeing what inspiring things you turn them into.

Oh and the list of Chatterbox Chicks was revealed at Blue Bazaar tonight too. I can't wait to get started on our projects and getting to know everyone a bit better!

Now, where was that early night....

A huge parcel!

Yesterday I got home to an enormous parcel that arrived from Craftainers. It was my Super Tote prize, and how cool is it! I'm not really a go out and scrap kind of girl, I like to scrap at home. But there is no way I'm letting this bag out of my sight! So many pockets and sections and stuff, and great quality too.

Thanks again Nicole!

We had our final preschool parent's meeting last night and we lashed out and went to dinner for it. We went to the Greater Indian Restaurant at Charnwood, and I highly recommend it! Go the butter chicken - YUM!

Bits & pieces...

Well I can safely say that I am on the Chatterbox Design Team, lol. I rang Addicted to Craft just to double check! Yes I'm a nut, but I needed to hear it again. Although a few more of the new members are slowly coming out of the woodwork. Nice to 'meet' some of you! Thank for the congratulations from everyone too. I am still so excited.

Yesterday was a huge day in packing new orders and posting them off, the poor ladies at the post office were very good and very patient with me.

This week has been good with deliveries for me too, lots of new stock for Lime Tart. Heaps of lovely stuff for me to start putting December's Creative Kits together. Now I just have to wait on my matching Bazzill.

Today I must get on to making birthday invitations for Peggy, my baby is turning 4! Then tonight I have a Christmas card class on at Scrap The Lot.

Other than that, I really have to start going to bed earlier!

Speechless....again

Well it still hasn't quite sunk in about the Cbx DT. Thank you to the well wishes from everyone :) I'm just hoping my phonecall wasn't a dream! I was told that I could announce that I won a place but I was not allowed to reveal the other names as not everyone had been contacted. But now I'm wondering why no-one else seems to be announcing, lol. I hope it wasn't a dream....

But why am I speechless again? Because I logged on this morning to a winning email from this great new site! I won their Super Satchel Tote! How cool is that!

Now where is that lottery ticket......

Speechless!

OMGosh! I got a phonecall at 9pm last night, very late for our household. Quite worried, I answered the phone, and got the shock of my life when I was told that I have been selected for the Australian Chatterbox Design Team!!!

I don't think it has fully registered with me yet! What an opportunity...

Published!

I'm very excited to be published in Stamping & Papercraft once again. It's always a thrill to see my creations in print. This time around is even more exciting as I used Leave Memories stamps and I emailed Holli, the owner of Leave Memories to show her the magazine. She has offered to send me some free stamps! I'm hoping that I will get this set. How nice are they!?

She has also uploaded the picture of the cards to her website. Check them out here!

Now to Lime Tart..... I am just about able to stick up a sold out sign on both of my 6x6 kits, come on someone, anyone, please make my day and let me put up that sign!

Oops - the stick

I've just been reminded that I have to reveal what the stick is on this card.

When I went to the Papercrafts Festival, friends and I were buying coffee. One friend and I were looking at the coffee stirrers and both at the same time said they would be great embellishments. Well that friend shall remain nameless, as she grabbed a handful to give me on the bus on the return trip home, and voila! Here is my first attempt at using one of the coffee stirrers. I painted another one with H2O's last night, not sure what I will do with it....

The gallery is up...

...and the newsletter is out. Go out check out the newsletter here, and the gallery here.

Busy day....

I went shopping this morning and got some great buys to pop away for Santa Claus.

But I'm back here to post the link to one of the cards I made last night. You can see it here.

The rest of the things will appear in the gallery tomorrow, along with some other absolutely stunning stuff from some guest designers.

A great weekend!

Our lives have been so busy lately that we haven't found time for ourselves. So this weekend, we made sure we were busy but with lots of fun stuff! So Friday night we took the kids out to dinner at the local soccer club and the meals were fantastic! I had veal medallions with prawns and they were so fresh. The three kids were so well behaved (until we got home, lol).

Saturday, we slept in, had a late breakfast, then grocery shopped, did some weeding of our poor overgrown garden, then went to Cockington Green for an hour or so before grabbing some videos and heading home.

I even got to create last night! My first time in well over a week! I made a couple of things for the Lime Tart gallery which will go up tomorrow. I also made a thank you card for a friend, that will go in the Stamping Top50 gallery when I scan it.

Now I must head off as I'm going Christmas shopping! How quickly is that approaching?!

Oh and I have comments, lol, thanks to Michelle, Marie & Shazz

Marie, it was so great to finally meet you last weekend :) Shame we couldn't sit down and have a coffee and full on chat.

Okay must run or I will be late....

December Kits

I'm so excited! I've just placed my order for the majority of the ingredients for the Creative Kits for December. I love getting the boxes delivered and then sitting down and putting the kits together. December's will be no exception, the papers are a little bit odd, some papers are old but you don't see them very often, some papers are brand new. Okay that's enough teasing for now, lol.

I've also just arrived back from the Post Office where I posted an enormous pile of parcels today. So for those early birds with subscriptions - watch your postie - your November Creative Kits are on their way!

I also have a lot of ideas running around my head for what I should make with my kits, and I must get onto that so I have photos to upload into the gallery for Monday!

So on that note, I must run....

Papercrafts Festival

I went to my first crafts festival outside of Canberra on Saturday! I left at 7am in the morning and caught a bus up with a great group of stampers. The bus was organised by ACTSA and was very bouncy, lol, but lots of fun. Several companies sponsored prizes and goodie bags for the trip. I was the lucky winner of an UM alphabet plate from Vicki Enkhoff and donated by Bumble Bee Crafts. So thank you!!

We arrived in Sydney at about 1130am and I met up with several friends that I have either never met in real life, or have only met once or twice before. It was so nice to catch up and wander the fair. I didn't end up buying a lot but it was nice to socialise.

I also got to meet Sonia, the new editor of Australian Paper Crafts, so that was nice to put a face to her name.

We made it home just before 9pm and I am certainly getting old as it took nearly all day Sunday for me to recover!

Now I've done it once, I am certainly looking forward to doing it again next year.
